Want to know more about adopting with Staffordshire County Council?
If you are interested in Adopting the best place to start is an information meeting. Unfortunately at the moment due to current health concerns associated with COVID-19, we will not be able to proceed with our face to face information meetings. However this does not mean that your adoption journey can't start right now.
Enquire online and we will send you out our information meeting presentation via email for you to watch at home.
Once you have viewed the presentation please get in touch with us either by calling 0800 169 2061 or emailing email@example.com and we will arrange for one of our social workers to get in touch with you to discuss the next steps.
We are holding Facebook LIVE sessions on Friday's starting on Friday 27 March - further details below. Join us on our page facebook.com/staffsfosterandadopt

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for adopters for children of all ages. But we have a particular need for adopters for sibling groups of 2 or 3 children, children with additional needs and Fostering for Adoption.
Are you ready to start your journey?
Before you enquire to us you need to have a spare room, be in a stable financial situation and have considered the costs and financial implications of raising a child.
You can adopt if you are single but if you are in a relationship it needs to be stable and you need to have lived together for at least 2 years.
If you smoke this won't automatically rule you out but please note we do not take applications for anyone wishing to adopt children aged 0-5 years old if they smoke. If you have recently given up smoking you need to wait until you have given up for at least 6 months before applying to adopt with us but you can still view the presentation to prepare yourself for later.
