Hello and welcome to the start of your adoption journey.
At Staffordshire County Council, we believe that all children have the right to a secure, stable and loving home and we need people like YOU to offer love and understanding and be there to support our children through childhood and beyond. During these difficult times we still need to recruit adopters but the way we carry out our assessments and deliver training will need to be at a distance using Skype, telphone conversations and online training.
Could you be who we are looking for?
There are lots of myths about who can adopt most of which are untrue.
Did you know that single people CAN adopt?, you don't need to be married, you can have pets and you can already have children or not. There is no such thing as a "typical" adopter.
Right now in Staffordshire we are looking for adopters for children of all ages, but we always have a particular need for adopters for sibling groups of 2 or 3 children, children with additional needs or from ethnic minority backgrounds.
If you would like to find out more about adopting with Staffordshire County Council give our enquiry line a call on 0800 169 2061 or complete our online enquiry form and we will contact you to discuss your interest.
