Adoption In Staffordshire

At Staffordshire County Council, we believe that all children have the right to a secure, stable and loving home. We are looking for adopters who can offer love and understanding and be there to support our children through childhood and beyond.

Adoption is a way of providing a new family for children who cannot be brought up by their own parents. It's a legal procedure in which all the parental responsibility is transferred to the adopters. Our priority is to find those people who can offer children a sense of security, continuity and commitment.

Could you be who we are looking for?

We are looking for adopters for children of all ages, but particularly sibling groups of 2 or 3 children, children with additional needs or from ethnic minority backgrounds.

Before you start your journey you need to have a spare room and have been in a relationship and lived together ideally for at least 3 years. You also need to be in a stable financial situation and have considered the costs and financial implications of raising a child.

We are also taking expressions of interest for Fostering for Adoption.

If you would like to find out more about adopting with Staffordshire County Council give our enquiry line a call on 0800 169 2061 or complete our online enquiry form and we will contact you to discuss your interest.
