What types of Fostering are there?
The different types of fostering are as follows.
Task Centred
Fostering for a period of time to work towards returning children to their own families whereever possible / moving children on to Adoption / preparing teenagers for independent living..
Longer Term Fostering
This is usually for older children, who cannot return home but for whom adoption is not appropriate
Family Link
Make a difference to the lives of Children and Young People. You do not necessarily need experience of disability.
Family Link provides children with flexible short break care which is easily managed around busy lives. Stays can be overnight, for a weekend or during school holidays.
We are looking for enthusiastic people who can dedicate regular time to a child.
Children with disabilities have a wide range of abilities, likes and dislikes but may need more care and attention in their daily lives.
Short breaks are a valuable support to both the child and their family.
As a Family Link carer you would provide children with opportunities to become more independent, widen their horizons and to have new experiences.
