Intensive Fostering
If you are interested in this scheme please contact Dave Poole or Alex Griffiths for an initial discussion on 01785 274179 (do not contact the Enquiry line)
Intensive fostering is an alternative to a custodial sentence.
Intensive foster carers must have experience of caring for children and young people over ten years of age. They cannot have dependant children living at home. If you are already an approved foster carer you should not currently have children placed with you. If part of a couple then at least one of you should not be in paid employment.
You will receive intensive support on a daily basis from a multi-disciplinary team including psychologists and social workers. Daily monitoring of the progress of the placement. Regular respite is available. Training based on the Oregon Social Learning Centre model of Multi-dimensional foster care. Additional out of hours support to that already provided by the Emergency Duty Service.
If you are interested in this pioneering fostering service please contact Dave Poole or Alex Griffiths.
