Family
Together we grow as the years flitter by
Blink of an eye our seconds swing past
Memories forming in our wake.
We must treasure, trust our future together.
Tendons in our collective body break
Straining to take strife off times unsettled.
Like clouds we'll drift and thunder together
Forever.
Too many times we take it for granted:
Love between consciousnesses imperfect, unlined
To what was perceived a true family.
Emotion, a loaded cartridge to release when
Nature tolls her bell.
Threshold to glory is misty insight,
Your influence, my action, our future tonight
Will alter with a word, may Chance have her way
And turn those dusks of feeling into dawns of a new day.
