Why do Children need Adoption?
Children are removed
Children are removed from their parent’s care because of concerns about the care that they are receiving. The child or children may have been neglected or emotionally, physically or sexually abused. The parent’s drug or alcohol abuse may have led to concerns about the child’s safety and well being.
Parent’s request
Children need adoptive families at their parents’ request because the parents realise they cannot care appropriately for their child. This may be occasionally be a young mother with an unplanned pregnancy or a family with a variety of problems who feel they cannot cope or it may be because the child has a disability that the parents feel unable to cope with.
