For Adoptive Families
We provide a range of services for adoptive families living in Staffordshire:
- Information and advice about relevant adoption issues
- Support for adoptive families who may be in need of additional support
- Regular support groups for adoptive parents
- Family events twice a year
- Activity groups for adopted children during school holidays
- A regular Newsletter
- Workshops on topics of interest to adoptive families
- Support with contact arrangements, including a confidential Post Box service
- Information about other organisations that can offer help
For Adopted Adults
We provide an opportunity for you to talk to someone about adoption and how it has affected you:
- Information and advice about relevant adoption issues
- A full counselling service for those people over eighteen who wish to see their birth records
- A limited intermediary service for those wishing to make contact with their birth family
- Preparation and support for any reunion
- Information about other organisations that can offer help
For Birth Parents
If you are a birth mother or father separated from your child by adoption we can offer:
- Information and advice about relevant adoption issues
- Independent support for parents whose children are being placed for adoption
- Support with contact arrangements, including a confidential Post Box service
- A limited intermediary service for birth parents wishing to make contact with adopted adults
- Preparation and support for any reunion
- Information about other organisations that can offer help
