Why can't they live with their families?

Children are sometimes removed from their families on the court's direction to protect them from physical abuse, sexual abuse, neglect or emotional abuse.

Young people have to leave their families at the direction of the Courts because of their offending behaviour.

Occasionally parents require care for their children due to illness, family breakdown or behavioural difficulties.
